“100% Great Western shiraz, 67% from the Garden Gully Vineyard (established 1878), 33% Arrawatta Vineyard. French and American oak, new and old. It’s a wine of power and length and much more besides. It’s a shining example of this grape variety in this region. It tastes of jellied black cherry, pure plum, anise, leather and black pepper. Sweet oak plants a light kiss and no more. Look hard and you’ll find black olive and saltbush notes. It’s that kind of wine; seamless, complex and seductive at once.”
